This Privacy Policy explains how Checkimon (“the App”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use the App. Checkimon is designed to work entirely on your device. We do not run servers for the App and we do not collect, receive, or store personal data on our servers.

Information the App handles
Photos & metadata (on your device only)
- When you record a checkout, you can take/attach a photo. The photo and the date/time (“metadata”) are saved locally on your device using on-device storage.
- We do not upload these photos or metadata to us or any third party.
App state & progress (on your device only)
- Your completion status (which checkouts you’ve hit) is stored locally on your device.
- You can delete the App or clear its data to remove this information.
Permissions the App requests
- Camera – to capture a photo when you confirm a checkout.
- Photos/Media Library – to save and display your checkout photos on your device.
You can change these permissions anytime in your device settings.
What we do not do
- No accounts or sign-in.
- No server collection, analytics, or tracking by us.
- No sale or sharing of personal data.
- No cross-device syncing (unless you explicitly enable a future cloud feature—see “Changes to this policy”).
Third-party services
The App is distributed via Apple’s App Store and may rely on your device’s operating system services (e.g., camera, photo library). We do not send your content to third parties. App Store operators may process data under their own privacy terms.
Legal basis (UK & EU GDPR)
- Consent – for optional permissions like Camera/Photos. You may withdraw consent via device settings.
- Legitimate interests – to store app state locally so the App functions as intended.
Your rights
Under UK/EU data protection law, you may have rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. Because we do not hold your personal data on our servers, most rights are exercised directly on your device (e.g., delete photos in your library or remove the App).

Data security
Your data is stored locally on your device and protected by your device’s security features. If you share backups or screenshots, those copies are governed by the services you use to share them (e.g., iCloud, messaging apps).
Data retention
We do not retain your data on our servers. On your device, data persists until you delete it (e.g., remove photos, clear app data, or uninstall the App).
Children’s privacy
Checkimon is a general-audience app. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided data to us directly, please contact us. We do not operate servers or collect personal data from the App.
International transfers
We do not transfer your data internationally because we do not collect it on servers.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if the App adds features such as cloud backup or analytics. We will update the “Last updated” date and may provide in-app notice for material changes. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
